Scope

This policy applies to design consultation fees, project coordination services, custom window treatments, and any products sourced or supplied by Lyapchev Design Studio on behalf of a client. It should be read alongside the individual service agreement provided for each engagement.

Design Consultation and Service Fees

Initial discovery calls are provided at no charge. Once a paid consultation or service engagement has been confirmed and a deposit received, the deposit is non-refundable as it secures your place in our project schedule and covers preparatory work undertaken prior to the first on-site visit.

If you wish to cancel a confirmed engagement before work has commenced beyond the initial deposit phase, any fees paid beyond the deposit will be refunded in full. Once design work has been delivered — including concept presentations, floor plans, or material schedules — fees for completed stages are non-refundable, as the intellectual effort and time invested cannot be recovered.

Custom Window Treatments

All curtains, blinds, and other window coverings are custom-made to your specific measurements and fabric selections. Due to the bespoke nature of these products, they cannot be returned or exchanged unless a manufacturing defect or measurement error attributable to our team is identified.

If you believe a custom product has been manufactured incorrectly or differs materially from the agreed specification, please notify us within seven days of installation. We will inspect the product and, where the issue is confirmed as our responsibility, we will remake or rectify the item at no additional cost.

Products and Furnishings

Furniture, accessories, and homewares sourced through Lyapchev Design Studio on behalf of a client are subject to the return policies of the original supplier. We will facilitate returns and exchanges where the supplier's policy permits, but we cannot guarantee acceptance of returns for change-of-mind purchases. Restocking fees levied by suppliers will be passed on to the client.

Damaged or defective goods should be reported to us within forty-eight hours of delivery. We will coordinate with the supplier to arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

Process for Requesting a Refund

To request a refund or raise a concern about a product or service, please contact us in writing:

Please include your name, project reference or invoice number, a description of the issue, and any supporting photographs. We will acknowledge your request within two business days and aim to resolve the matter within fourteen business days.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. If goods or services we provide have a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. If the failure is minor, we are entitled to choose between providing a repair, replacement, or refund.
